There is officially 100 days until the big day- the start of the Women's World Cup in Canada!

USWNT fans

ESPN explored the worries that fans have had with the US Women's team this year considering the more than rocky start the USWNT had. One win against a great Argentina seemed promising but only then a second over England on a refree's call-back of an England goal. Here's a little info on what I along the most reliable, ex-pro futbol-er and World Cup gold medalist Julie Foudy have to say about the U.S. Women's Team getting on track by June.

Foudy

In one word: Timing. While the teams play has not been good, winning only 2 of the last 6 games, they can peak at the right time. As June and July approach the team needs to be at their best then, not now. Whether it is strategy, fitness or metal toughness- the women can pull it together

While the American midfield and Abby Wambach's impact are game-changers, Alex Morgan remains the biggest X factor in the United States' success. Here are the game-changers:

• This is as deep a team as the United States has ever had.The roster not only is large, but skilled. Each player that has to come in off the bench holds their own and are trusted by the team to perfom. One sub won't drop the level of this teams performance.

Coach Ellis

• The United States midfield clearly needs to be corrected and tweaker. BUT it is important to remember there hasn't been much consistency for the players within the midfield line-up. Coach Jill Ellis only took over the team in April and her midfield formation hasn't been locked down yet. So once the team is set on the exact formation that works best, well see improvement.

Wambach scoring

• The United States doesn't just have the best finisher in the world ever to play the game in Abby Wambach, but it also has a handful of world-class finishers in Alex Morgan, Christen Press, Sydney Leroux and potentially Amy Rodriguez.

Alex-Morgan

• Still, the health of Alex Morgan is the biggest question for the United States. If she can stay healthy, Morgan changes how the U.S. team plays and, equally important, how opposing teams play the United States.

• "And finally, let's not forget the U.S. mentality. As a team, you never want to rely solely on mentality, but it sure as heck helps when the pressure percolates and the world is watching. We've seen how this group responds when down, behind and written off. Write them off at your own peril." -- Julie Foudy

Said by a USWNT player herself, this team is not one to take lightly. They are fierce and respond well to pressure. It appears while the record might not show it- this team is on the rise.
