Meet Samantha Fiorenzo: The girl behind "Kickin' It"

Hey everyone! My name's Sam, (my teammates call me Sammie) and I am a recent graduate of Iona College in New York. I played on Iona's Division 1 Women's Soccer Team all four years at school and was named captain for my Junior and Senior year.

I've played on the Olympic Development Team, won a national championship with my team (originally PASCO) the Montclair Bolts, and honestly have lived and breathed the game since I could walk well enough to kick a ball.

Unfortunatlety I can't play at the level I used to. I've torn my ACL twice- and for all of you soccer players out there, that sentence should make you cringe but I still can't get enough of intramurals and kcik around with my friends.

Yet, I love the game and LOVE following those whose knees are stronger and determination greater as they continue on to play in their early and late 20's. I LOVE female athletes and am always in search of any way to make my body more fit and stronger.

So while my body might not be able to handle the most popular sport IN THE WORLD anymore- I still love to follow the girls and women who trudge on display their abilities and drive in all aspects of the game.

On "Kickin' It" I will share the stories that are most intriguing, newsworthy and inspiring all surrounding the world of women's soccer.

Enjoy!
